The heads are made of plaster. Interesting monk heads depicting the 7 deadly sins. In the 19th century, similar figures were very popular and were hung by fireplaces to keep matches always at hand. Dimensions: approximately 10cm. The holders are in good condition, with some noticeable chipping on certain ones.

HANAU SOLLUX LIGHT
Hanau Sollux light, from the 1930s.
A light from the German company Hanau "Sollux," founded by chemist and pharmacist Wilhelm Heraeus in 1851 in the city of Hanau. They mainly produced quartz lamps, which were then used for medical purposes, especially known for their phototherapy lamps. This particular light once had an adjustable base, but today it can be lowered from the ceiling to add a touch of industrial style. ANTIQUE LAVINITE BUST OF CHOPIN
Bust of Chopin, made in early 20th century in Germany.
This bust of the famous composer Frédéric Chopin is made of lavinite, a special material developed by the company where the bust was created, W. Henker & Co. The company operated until 1936, and since lavinite was patented in 1912, the bust must have been made during that period. Originally painted with antique bronze, the finish has worn over time, giving the bust a unique patinated appearance. Frédéric Chopin (1810–1849) was a Polish composer and virtuoso pianist, known for his emotionally deep and technically demanding piano works. As a central figure of the Romantic era, he gained fame with compositions such as nocturnes, études, and polonaises, blending lyrical beauty with extraordinary musical expression.
