The counterbalanced spring is fully enclosed, ensuring protection from dust. The main base can move backward and forward, as well as rotate 180 degrees horizontally. The upper part of the neck can also move up and down. Additionally, the lampshade can rotate 180 degrees horizontally, move up and down, and swivel in circular motions. There are two buttons on the top of the shade, one for turning the lamp on and the other for turning it off. Dazor was founded in 1938 by Harry Dazey and Professor Albert Perbal from the University of Washington. Their precisely balanced lamps revolutionized the lighting industry in the 1940s. Dazor was also the first manufacturer to combine portable work light technology with fluorescent bulbs. The company continues to produce similar lighting solutions today. The model 2324, like several other versions and colors, was manufactured between 1940 and 1990. Its use in Europe was particularly widespread in Antwerp, Belgium, especially in the diamond industry.
