Consequently, they still carry great symbolic value today. For example, in Judaism, a burning oil lamp symbolizes illuminating the path for the righteous, the wise, and all positive values. In Christianity, it symbolizes eternal life and God himself. Satsuma vase.

Satsuma is a type of Japanese pottery originating from the Satsuma province. Today, it can be divided into two different categories: the original plain dark clay from early Satsuma, produced in Satsuma around 1600, and elaborately decorated export Satsuma in ivory color, which began to be produced in the nineteenth century in various Japanese cities. The presented piece is from a later period, but since the manufacturer's mark is not visible or cannot be found, the exact age is challenging to determine. Dimensions: 46.5 cm Weight: 2.14 kg The vase is somewhat worn; hand-painted decoration is worn, and there is a minor crack at the top of the vase, which does not continue or in any way affect its function. Still, it remains a beautiful decorative piece with a rich history.
