Large polychrome terracotta sculpture, made in Italy, circa 1900.

This unusually large terracotta sculpture immediately evokes the seaside, masterfully depicting two boys caught in a moment of carefree play. The composition feels light and full of life, while the modeling of the figures is exceptionally convincing: the bodies are naturally formed, the movement relaxed, and the facial expressions rich in character.
