    This unique perfume lamp, shaped like a dog, is crafted from porcelain with glass eyes.

    Perfume lamps became popular in the 1920s when smoking was fashionable, yet people still desired pleasant-smelling homes. These lamps, often in the form of decorative figurines—commonly animals—featured a compartment for aromatic oil. A bulb inside would gently heat the oil, dispersing its fragrance throughout the room.
