    ANTIQUE ELEPHANT SCULPTURE

    290,00 €

Wooden elephant sculpture, made circa 1910.

This handcrafted wooden elephant sculpture is an exquisite addition to any home, featuring intricate details and a timeless charm. Beyond its artistic value, elephants have long been revered for their powerful symbolism. They represent wisdom, good fortune, and positive energy. In Hinduism, the elephant signifies integrity and strength, while Vastu Shastra, the traditional Indian architectural system, suggests placing an elephant figure at the entrance of a home to ward off negative energies and bring good luck.

You can position this sculpture in a marital bedroom to strengthen relationships, enhance fertility, and prevent infidelity. For children, placing the elephant on a study desk is believed to boost focus and academic success. In business, having an elephant sculpture near the main entrance is thought to energize the space and promote prosperity. Elephants with raised trunks are especially considered to bring good fortune, and the black hue of this sculpture symbolizes wealth and success.

Crafted from exotic hardwood, this elegant sculpture is a perfect gift for yourself or your loved ones, combining cultural significance with stunning craftsmanship.

    COURTING CANDLE HOLDER

    24,00 €

    Courting Candle Holder.

Legend has it that between the 17th and 18th centuries, fathers used this type of candle holder when suitors came to court their daughters. It served as a boundary between the lovers. When the candle burned down to the top of the holder, it was time for the suitor to leave immediately. However, the father could adjust the height of the candle based on his feelings towards the suitor. He could extinguish the candle immediately or add a new one, depending on what he deemed necessary. Thus, the candle served as a silent but clear reminder to the suitor of when the date should end. This practice aimed to teach daughters to respect their parents' judgment and encourage suitors to respond to the father's discretion. An interesting example of a candle holder that not only serves as a decorative piece but also carries a story and a connection to the past. Dimensions: 16 x 12 cm Weight: 132.3 g The candle holder is in excellent condition.
