RARO ANTIQUES Nika Medved s.p. (hereinafter referred to as the Merchant) is committed to safeguarding the confidentiality of personal data and the privacy of users of its online store. The Merchant will use the collected personal data solely for the purpose of providing the services offered.

The Merchant respects the confidentiality of personal data and the privacy of users of the online store and will take all necessary measures to protect them from any breaches or misuse. For the purpose of providing its services, the Merchant collects, manages, processes, and stores the following user data:

  • Delivery addresses;
  • Company name or legal entity title (if the user is a legal entity);
  • Tax identification number of the legal entity (if the user is a legal entity);
  • Email address (username);
  • Password in encrypted form;
  • Contact phone number;
  • Country of residence;
  • Other data that users voluntarily provide in the forms on the online store;
  • Other data users voluntarily add later to their profile.

The Merchant is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data entered by users.

The Merchant will use the collected data for its own promotional activities (sending notifications and news about contests, business communications, and other notifications and updates).

3. Cookies and IP Addresses

At the start of each use of the online store, the Merchant assigns a cookie for user identification, shopping cart tracking, and traceability (a “cookie”), which is stored in the server’s memory only for the duration of the visit to the online store and is deleted after one hour of inactivity.

The Merchant may also store some persistent cookies on the user’s personal computer, such as the user’s identification number in encrypted form to recognize them during their next visit to the online store, or ratings of products to indicate which products the user has already rated. Additionally, cookies from external services like Google Analytics may be used to analyze website traffic. The Merchant may use this data in anonymized, aggregated form for statistical analysis.

For the purpose of ensuring online security, the Merchant also collects IP addresses from which users access the online store.

4. Statement on Protection of Personal Data and User Privacy

The Merchant is committed to protecting the personal data of users of its online store in accordance with the regulations governing personal data protection. The Merchant will not, under any circumstances, disclose personal or other user data to a third party or allow a third party to access such data without the user’s explicit consent, unless required by government authorities, mandated by law, or in good faith when necessary for legal proceedings, compliance with legal obligations, or the protection of the Merchant’s legitimate interests.

All personal and other information provided by the user during registration or when placing an order, including the content of orders, will be protected in accordance with personal data protection regulations. The Merchant will not use this data in any way that could harm the user or any other involved party. The Merchant will not use the user’s data to send promotional emails or other unsolicited promotional materials, except for sending promotional notifications that the user has subscribed to or consented to. The Merchant may use data in anonymized, aggregated form for statistical analysis purposes. The confidentiality of users’ personal and other data will not be breached in any way.

For the purpose of delivering purchased products, the Merchant will provide delivery services (e.g., Post of Slovenia, GLS, DHL, UPS, etc.) with only the necessary information required for delivery (recipient details and delivery address). The Merchant may contact the user via email if necessary to complete the purchase or via the provided phone number only in the event of issues with the registration or purchase process in the online store.

5. Implementation of the Privacy Policy

All employees at the Merchant, whether regular or freelance, who have access to users’ personal and other data, are informed about their duty to protect the confidentiality of such data and are obligated to adhere to these provisions regarding the protection of personal data and user privacy in the online store. The duty to protect personal and other data applies indefinitely, even after the termination of the relationship with the Merchant.

Registered users can cease using the online store at any time and cancel their registration. This can be done by submitting a written statement to the Merchant requesting the cancellation of their registration. Before submitting the cancellation request, the user must settle any outstanding obligations related to purchases made in the online store. The Merchant will continue to protect the confidentiality of personal data and the privacy of users in accordance with this privacy policy, even after the cancellation of registration.
